Ainger Advantage – A Better Roofing Experience, Built on Process
Ainger Group is one of Central Ontario’s most established roofing and exterior contractors — a second-generation, family-owned roofing company founded in 1990 with over 1,500 Google reviews and offices in Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, Huntsville, Parry Sound, Bracebridge/ Muskoka, Gravenhurst, and Newmarket, Ainger is the roofing contractor Central Ontario homeowners recommend most.
What sets Ainger Group apart from other roofing companies in Ontario is a documented six-step process called the Ainger Advantage — a system built around transparency, accountability, and zero surprises from first call to final photo. Every project includes a written scope of work, a dedicated Pre-Project Concierge managing logistics before installation begins, a Project Manager on-site throughout the job, protected work areas and a Homeowner Protection Report delivered at completion. This is the standard on every project, whether it’s a shingle repair in Barrie or a full exterior replacement in Muskoka.

Shingle Roof Installation
Asphalt shingle roofing is the most common residential roofing system in Ontario — and for homes across Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, and Muskoka, choosing the right contractor to install it matters as much as choosing the right shingle. Ainger Group installs shingle roofing using industry-leading materials from Owens Corning and GAF, both backed by manufacturer warranties that protect your investment for decades. Our crews follow a documented installation process that includes proper underlayment, ice-and-water shield at eaves and valleys, and precision flashing around all penetrations — the details that determine how long a roof actually performs in Ontario’s climate. Whether you’re replacing an aging roof or building new, expect a written scope before work starts, a clean job site throughout, and full photo documentation when the job is complete. Metal Roof Installation
Metal roofing is the highest-performing long-term roofing option for Ontario homeowners, and it’s particularly well-suited to the Georgian Bay climate — where freeze-thaw cycling is aggressive, snow loads are heavy, and ice damming is a recurring risk for homes with inadequate attic ventilation. Ainger Group installs standing seam and steel panel metal roofing systems across Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, and Muskoka. A properly installed metal roof lasts 40–70 years, sheds snow more effectively than asphalt, is fire-resistant, and requires significantly less maintenance over its lifespan. Ainger’s metal roofing installations include proper underlayment, ventilation assessment, and precision flashing at all valleys, chimneys, and penetrations — the components that determine whether a metal roof performs as intended or develops the leak points that undermine the system. For homeowners comparing roofing options in Central Ontario, metal is the premium long-term choice and Ainger is the contractor with the local track record to back it up. Explore Metal Roofing

Roof Repair
When Barrie and Georgian Bay homeowners need roof repair, the most important thing a contractor can do is accurately diagnose the source — not just patch the most visible damage. Ainger Group’s repair crews serve the full Central Ontario region, handling everything from missing shingles, deteriorated flashing, and soffit damage, to active leaks, storm damage, and ice damming aftermath. We identify the root cause and fix it with lasting repairs, so a $1,000 repair today doesn’t become a $15,000 replacement next year. For situations where water is actively entering the home, Ainger Group offers emergency roof repair response across Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, Huntsville, and surrounding communities. Every repair comes with the same process discipline as a full installation: clear diagnosis, written scope, and a clean job site when we leave. Get Roof Repair Help
Siding Installation
New siding is one of the highest-ROI exterior upgrades an Ontario homeowner can make — and one of the most consequential for long-term home protection. Failing or aging siding creates moisture intrusion pathways behind walls, drives up heating and cooling costs, and accelerates deterioration of the sheathing and framing underneath. Ainger Group installs vinyl, metal, and engineered wood siding for homeowners across Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, and Georgian Bay — using quality materials and a certified installation process that includes proper moisture barrier, trim, and casing at all openings. Whether you’re dealing with visibly failing siding or planning a full exterior refresh, Ainger will walk you through every option with transparent pricing and a documented scope before a single panel is touched. Soffit, Fascia & Eavestrough
Soffits, fascia, and eavestroughs (gutters) are the components most homeowners ignore until something goes wrong — and by then, the damage has usually already spread to the roof deck, attic insulation, or foundation. Eavestroughs that pull away from the fascia, downspouts that terminate too close to the foundation, or soffits with blocked ventilation can each create cascading problems that are far more expensive than the original fix. Ainger Group installs and repairs eavestrough systems, soffit, and fascia for homeowners across Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, Parry Sound, and Muskoka, using durable, low-maintenance products engineered for Canadian winters. If you’re noticing water staining on soffits, ice damming at the eaves, or pooling near your foundation, these are the warning signs — and Ainger’s crews can assess and address them before they escalate. Blown-in Insulation
Attic insulation and roof performance are directly connected — and most Ontario homeowners don’t realize it until they’re dealing with ice dams, uneven heating, or prematurely aging shingles. Inadequate attic insulation allows heat to escape through the roof deck, warming the surface unevenly, melting snow that refreezes at the cold eaves, and creating the ice damming conditions that cause interior water damage every winter across Barrie and Georgian Bay. The Ontario Building Code recommends a minimum R-60 rating — approximately 22 inches of blown-in insulation — for attic performance, and the majority of homes built before 2000 fall significantly short of that standard. Ainger Group begins every insulation project with a full attic assessment to identify ventilation issues, air leaks, and moisture problems before any insulation is added. We install blown-in insulation across Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, Huntsville, and surrounding communities, filling irregular joist bays and hard-to-reach areas more completely than batt insulation and creating a consistent thermal barrier that keeps your home warmer, your heating bills lower, and your roof performing as designed. Windows/ Doors Installation
Drafty windows and sticking doors are symptoms of a failing envelope — and in Ontario’s climate, a compromised building envelope costs homeowners in comfort, energy bills, and long-term structural integrity. Ainger Group installs energy-efficient windows and doors for homeowners across Barrie, Collingwood, and Georgian Bay, replacing single-pane units, failed seals, and outdated frames with high-performance, thermally broken alternatives that meet or exceed Ontario energy efficiency standards. Our installation crews are precise, respectful of your home, and trained to get the job done without the mess or disruption that characterizes most window replacement projects. For homeowners replacing multiple windows, a full exterior replacement package — roof, siding, windows — with a single Ainger project team and one documented scope is often the most efficient and cost-effective path. Rooftop Snow Removal
Snow and ice accumulation is one of the most underestimated structural risks for Ontario homeowners. A single Canadian winter can put hundreds of pounds of load on a residential roof, and when ice dams form at the eaves — a direct consequence of heat loss through under-insulated attics — water backs up under shingles and finds its way into the home. Ainger Group provides professional, fully insured rooftop snow removal and ice damming services across Barrie, Collingwood and the surrounding areas. Our crews work safely, without damaging roofing materials, and can respond quickly when accumulation reaches dangerous levels or ice damming is actively causing interior water entry. If you’re seeing icicles forming along eaves, water staining on interior ceilings after a thaw, or significant snow load buildup, don’t wait — the cost of prevention is a fraction of the cost of repair.
