JOB Responsibilities
The Canvassing Manager plays a mission-critical role in overseeing and optimizing the door-to-door canvassing team. This role is responsible for driving lead generation efforts in assigned territories by recruiting, developing, and managing a high-performing team of canvassers. The ideal candidate is an unabashed energetic leader with a strong background in direct sales, who thrives on coaching others, leading by example, and fostering a results-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified canvassers to meet growth targets.
- Manage daily operations of the canvassing team in the field and during check-ins.
- Create daily assignments and ensure full team deployment in designated neighborhoods.
- Provide real-time coaching and performance feedback during field visits.
- Foster a positive and motivating team environment that prioritizes integrity, effort, and results.
2. Performance Tracking & Accountability
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
- Leads generated per canvasser per day
- Estimate appointments set
- Close rate contribution
- Conduct daily and weekly performance reviews with team members.
- Set clear expectations and enforce accountability to maintain productivity and quality standards.
3. Training & Development
- Deliver structured training programs for new hires and ongoing skill-building for current reps.
- Educate team members on effective communication, objection handling, and lead qualification techniques.
- Regularly review scripts, sales materials, and homeowner engagement strategies for continuous improvement.
4. Lead Generation & Personal Contribution
- Personally engage in door-to-door canvassing to lead by example and generate leads.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align canvassing efforts with project locations and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure canvassed leads are high quality and entered correctly into CRM or lead management systems.
5. Strategy & Reporting
- Work closely with company leadership to develop, test, and optimize canvassing strategies.
- Report team performance metrics weekly, including lead volume, appointment rates, and top performers.
- Identify neighborhood opportunities, competitor activity, and recommend new territory targets.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:
- Proven Experience in door-to-door sales, with a minimum of 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree a plus)
- Prior experience in door-to-door sales or field marketing is required
- Previous leadership experience managing canvassers or outbound sales reps is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage; $25.00 – $30.00
- Base Salary + Performance Bonuses
